Guitar Lessons

Guitar lessons are available in 30, 45 & 60-minute sessions.  Although 60-minute lessons are ideal and recommended for the greatest chance of success, some younger students will have limited focus capacity and should consider 30-minute lessons.  Group lessons for 2-3 students also available; please contact me, directly, for more details.

​All students will need to come prepared with their own guitar, capo, and tuner.  Picks will be provided, if necessary as well as amps for electric guitars.  I will be demonstrating and playing with the students on three different guitars (acoustic, classical acoustic and electric).  Songs that would benefit from accompaniment will be accompanied on the grand piano.

​Students will learn to read music and how to play melodic phrases as well as chords on the guitar.

​All students will prepare for two recitals per year.  See Recital Path for more information. 

​Students will also learn to compose simple melodies for enjoyment and for more advanced recitals.

* Children under 10 can be evaluated and may qualify for lessons before the age of 10, or be referred to ukulele lessons.
